CANOE ADVENTURES

As you know canoes have been the backbone of Canadian culture for hundreds of years; from the early European explorers to cottage enthusiasts to our Olympic athletes. This summer why not get outdoors and spend time with friends and family, embark on a new adventure, or challenge yourself in white water with one of Canada’s longest standing traditions.  

 

1 DAY CANOE ADVENTURE

What better way to spend a day than canoeing with friends or family on one of Canada’s most famous rivers, the Ottawa! This Canoe Adventure is suitable for the whole family and all skill levels.

Your day begins in Ft. Coulonge with a refresher in canoe skills and then we’re off. Travel down a lesser known channel of the Ottawa River; exploring islands, coves, and beaches along the way. The adventure concludes in Campbell’s Bay with plenty of time to head to your next engagement or stay and enjoy a meal at a local eatery. Friends, family, and adventure; just another great day in Canada.

Experience is not necessary.

3 DAY NOIRE RIVER CANOE CAMPING ADVENTURE

   

Break away from life’s usual monotony and explore Canada’s wilderness. Canoe camping is a terrific way to bond with your environment and thrive outdoors.

The Noire River is a perfect Canoe Camping river. With a continuous flow of water and relatively untouched shorelines it has a way of combining canoe tripping excitement with quiet serenity.

On this trip you’ll experience canoe instruction, camping, portaging, wildlife, fun, conversation, photography, the list could go on. This Noire River Adventure is a perfect way to experience the fulfilling world of Canoe Camping.

Adult participants should have experience controlling a canoe from the stern.

2 DAY NOIRE RIVER MOVING WATER ADVENTURE  – AN INTRO TO WHITE WATER

 

Dropping into a rapid for the first time is an exhilarating feeling; your heart pounding in your chest, your hands shaking, and the inevitable “what did I get myself into?” While these feelings may stick around for a while, this Noire River Adventure will give you paddling skills to help transform those doubts into focus, and eventually into an accomplishment that you can really be proud of. Imagine the success you’ll feel as an average canoeist stepping up your paddling skills and becoming a confident class II or III white water Paddler.

All participants must have experience controlling a canoe from the stern.

3 DAY NOIRE RIVER WHITE WATER CANOE TRIPPING ADVENTURE

          

Maybe you’re an experience canoe tripper and would like to take on the challenge of a white water river or maybe you’ve taken a swift water course but aren’t quite at the level of ‘guide’ for your family’s next white water river trip. Whatever your reason we’d be happy to assist in making your Noire River Adventure a safe and memorable learning experience. Accomplished guides paddle with you, assess your skills, and offering expertise where needed in order to build technique and confidence. You’re not a beginner and we won’t treat you like one.

All participants must be confident controlling a canoe from the stern.
