TEAMBUILDING AND LEADERSHIP

Pure Life Adventures offers two teambuilding programs here in the Pontiac Region. One for corporate groups who may need a change of atmosphere in order to refocus, and another for youth groups interested in giving their team a jump start on effective leadership practice.

In this age of the knowledge based workforce your team needs to keep a competitive edge. If you’re a small company or youth group operating near the Ottawa Valley or Pontiac Region let us add some synergy to your team with a fun day of Corporate Teambuilding or Youth Leadership training.

CORPORATE TEAMBUILDING

Our teambuilding programs have 3 goals in mind: 1) get your team out of the office and have them interact in a unique, social environment 2) have your team work on specific tasks to accomplish common goals 3) allow your team to have fun together, creating a common bond and camaraderie that will last. We do this by combining outdoor adventure with traditional teambuilding initiatives, offering context to a specific learning process.

Let’s face it, sometimes our team just gets in a rut. You see it. Your boss sees it. It’s time to shake things up just a bit to get everyone back on track.

“The activities were great and his hospitality was wonderful. I was also pleasantly surprised by how well looked after we were … I would go back next year in a heartbeat, and would recommend Pure Life Adventures to anyone looking for some out of the ordinary fun. MFRC - Base Petawawa

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Teambuilding

Youth LeadershipIt seems that the word Leadership has lost some meaning over time. Many people associate a good leader with someone who has been named captain of the team because he/she is the most skilled at the sport or the loud extravert interrupting and talking over people. While these two examples have obvious strengths that may assist in their leadership, it doesn’t necessarily make them good leaders. An effective leader is one who can both, lead and follow; take input from others and make appropriate decisions to move the team towards its goals.

Each person in your youth group has their own leadership style but sometimes leadership is not always obvious. Debriefing (or discussing) the outcome of each of your days’ activities will not only help to highlight the strengths of each youth, it will also teach youth to accept and utilize the strengths of others. By working together as part of a peer group youth will share in team success and push on through defeat building character, confidence, and group and self awareness.
